KnightsBridge Chemicals(KCL) is an international chemicals manufacturing company with operating subsidiaries in Egypt, United Arab Emirates and Pakistan. It is wholly owned by Knightsbridge investments limited a private investment company registered in Bermuda. In October 1997 KCL made its investment in 3 companies in pakistan, Nimir Industrial Chemicals Limited, Nimir Chemicals Pakistan Limited and nimir resins Limited a listed company.In August 1999 the company purcahsed 57% of International Chemicals Company(ICC) Sae in Egypt .Industrial Chemicals and Resins LLC (ICR)was set up along with Nimir Speciality Chemicals (NSC)FZC in 2003 to focus on speciality chemicals in Middle East. NSC produces Unsaturated Polyester resins mainly for reinforced pipe manufacturers, boat buliders . NSc products are approved by international certifying agencies like Lloyds of London, Abu Dhabi Muncipality and also WRAS certification from annual capacity of UPR is 24000 tonnes per annum.Emulsion for the paint and coating industry as well as the textile industry are also manufactured in NSC.ICR manufactures the best alkyd resins in the region in state of art resin plant in jebel ali predominantly for the surface coatings in decoartive and industrial paints segment, wood care finish and printing ink also manufactures speciality resins like Thermoplastic acrylic resins, styrenated alkyd resins and acrylic polyols.KCL is a parent company providing management focus and advice to its group companies. BAsed in Dubai it is well placed to provide hands on support to its subsidiaries and to explore new opportunities in the region.
