The Quintana Roo PRfive is a fast and lightweight aerodynamic triathlon bike that shares a lot of the same technology as the PRsix at a better price. This version is equipped with a Shimano Ultegra Di2 electronic groupset for reliable shifting. This bike was the winner of the Interbike Award for the Triathlon Innovation of the Year. It shares the same aerodynamic features as the PRsix as well as the same SHIFT+ technology which shifts air away from the drivetrain side to the “clean” side to further minimize drag. The PRfive also utilizes a high range of cockpit positions and adjustability to help you keep your most comfortable aero position. The Quintana Roo PRfive Disc is a great way to set new PR’s at a great price. The frame of the PRfive is made with a 30T Carbon Fiber layup. This is a slightly lower modulus fiber than the PRsix which lowers the overall price, but it is still lightweight, stiff, and durable. The geometry of the frame features an oversized chainstay which adds to the stiffness and aerodynamic nature of the frame. A static aero downtube also helps the airflow move properly around the frame while offering more stability. This allows you to whip around corners and descents with confidence. Rim brakes lower the price and keep the price lower with low weight and reliable performance. The Quintana Roo PRfive is aero and stable while making some changes to help your bank account. Practicality is not lost on the PRfive. Its simple design makes traveling and shipping easy. Just two sizes of hex key are needed to disassemble the bike to get it packed up and ready for the road. You will have easy access to the QR Top Tube Storage Box which is available in two different sizes. This box is great for holding essential triathlon nutrition such as gels, base salt tubes, and electrolyte tablets. The storage unit is incredibly aerodynamic and tucks in right behind the cockpit. Another aerodynamic unit is featured on the tail and is great for spare tubes, CO2, and tire levers. Wind wraps around this unit to add stability. It is secured with a QBOX attachment bracket. A rear taillight has both blinking and constant modes for visibility at night. The Quintana Roo Prfive frame is a well-priced option for triathlon performance.
