 2% Thoriated Tungsten Electrode WT20 is widely used as an additive oxide electrode. 2% Thoriated Tungsten Electrode can be operated easily, has a high current load and produces arc easily and steadily. In addition, the gap of the breaking arc is big, loss less and longer life. With higher re-crystallized temperature, better conductivity and mechanical cutting property, 2% Thoriated Tungsten Electrode WT20 is applied to welding carbon steel, stainless steel, nickel alloy and titanium metal. 2%Thoriated Tungsten Electrode WT20 becomes the first selection material for high quality welding.

Principal Oxide: 1.7–2.2% Thorium Oxide

Radioactive. Best for use in direct current (d/c) applications using transformer based constant current power sources. Best for use on non corroding steels, titanium alloys, nickel alloys, copper alloys. Good d/c arc starts and stability, medium erosion rate, medium amperage range, medium tendency to spit.
