Located on 70,000 sqm of land in Torbali, Izmir, the heart of the agricultural region of the Aegean, SANFORD A.S. operates out of a purpose built factory covering 10,000 sqm. The factory is located 50 Km from the Izmir port, 25 Km from the airport, 2.5 Km from the Torbali Highway exit and only 1 Km from the Torbali Industry Zone. Due to the wide range of machinery, purpose built industrial ovens and large cold stores, our company produces an extensive range of food products. The plant is BRC Grade AA certified and SEDEX registered to the 4 pillar program and is Kosher certified by Star K. We are Organically certified by EcoCert and present production capacity is in excess of 1200 tons. Besides Infused, we also produce straight dried slices etc and also produce fruit concentrate compounds for a number of customers in Turkey. We presently produce and export to over 22 countries and customers include re-packers to manufacturers, bakeries to confectioners to cereal manufacturers. Main markets are America, Europe, Asia and customers include well-known brands such as Farmer's Snack, Made in Nature, Peyman, Morga, Forest Feast etc. Sanford's healthy, better snacks for you; value added products. We produce a range of Dried fruits, mainly Infused Dried Sour cherries, Strawberries, Sweet Cherries and Pomegranate arils. We also produce dried Apple, Peach and Apricots together with dried fruit cubes and shapes made from 100% fruit purees. These are generally, either Beet sugar Infused or Apple Juice Infused; however, we have developed a number of specific products to meet the customers taste and production profiles which are tailor made providing the MOQ of 5 tons. We also produce Fruit puree cubes for sale as snacks retail or as inclusions in bars, cereals or bakeries. Advantages, besides Turkey being the largest grower in the world for Cherries and fourth largest for Strawberries is also the regional location and lower cost base. We do supply in container/truck volumes but can also supply in pallet lots. Besides Conventional, we also produce Organic and can supply either whole fruit or cut derivatives to meet customer needs. In addition, Turkey's being the largest dried fig producer and exporter in the world; we also produce dried fig jams/preserves. Fig jams are produced as plain or with added walnuts or orange peels or ginger to customize the taste to the markets we sell to.
