Agrisos SRL was created in August, 2001 with the aim of exporting a wide range of agricultural products produced in the region of Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Since then, it has exported sesame, corn, soybeans, beans etc. to diverse markets such as Brazil, Japan, Colombia, Spain and so on.We work with local small and medium producers of agricultural products, to which we provide certified natural seeds, capacity building and advance payments. We then buy their production in order to sell it on both local and international markets. Our activity thus benefits to local communities by alleviating the inherent uncertainty associated with the production of agricultural goods.During its first two years of existence, Agrisos SRL also exported 10.000MT of sugar on behalf of Industrias Agricolas de Bermejo (IABSA SA). Meanwhile, it reached new markets such as Colombia, to which it exported beans (Nima Variety and Othebo). In 2003, Sesame Seed Bol-Export SRL, a branch of Agrisos SRL, was created with the objective of exporting sesame to Japan. Thanks to exceptional crop yields, Sesame Seed managed to export a significant quantity to the latter market, but also to other international markets.From 2004, Agrisos invested in a new warehouse in Montero (Santa Cruz, Bolivia) where agricultural products are stocked, transformed and ultimately sold to both local and international markets. A few years later, machinery was purchased in order to turn soybeans and sesame into flour, and sell it to local markets. We currently plan to export this product.From 2013, Agrisos began consolidating with Sesame Seed, which merger should be achieved in early 2015. It has also started the production of chia seeds that is mainly sold on local markets, but for which it would be eager to export to the European as well as the North-American markets.Our offer is currently composed of the following products:- Beans: four different varieties- Sesame seeds : two different varieties- Soybeans- Chia seedsIt is worth pointing out that we also propose sesame and chia in flour and oil. Our products exhibit a high degree of purity (99%). We value sustainable and environmental-friendly working practices within local communities, and we favour the hiring of women for the processing of the agricultural goods. Agrisos SRL has also been part of a program of reforestation where the production had damaged the lands. We plan to get certifications of organic production and fair trade in 2015.Our team is composed of experienced agronomists and economists who have been performing this type of activity for more than twenty years in the Santa Cruz department in Bolivia. In collaboration with other Bolivian companies, we created the CABEXSE, which is the Commerce Chamber in charge of gathering sesame exporting companies and publishing data on production, yields etc.In 2013, Agrisos SRL commercialized a total value of $5.000.000 of agricultural goods, and plans to sell annualy an overall quantity of approximately 3.500TM for the years coming. This quantity should be gradually increased, especially thanks to our new products such as chia seeds, sesame oil etc.
