The history of Anatolia Wool is traced back to 1978, when Ulukarder Ipekcilik was founded. Established by Mr. Ulukardesler Sinior, the company made a high contribution to the Turkish silk industry.In 1980 the industrial plant in the city of Bursa was established. The bussines was entirely devoted to silk cocoon raising and raw silk procurement. The company, engaged in domestic and foreign commerce, became a reliable silk supplyer to bigest carpet and upholstery fabric manufacturers. Thight and long lasting relationships with these manufacturers raised the interest of the company to enrich its supply to its clients also with high quality wool products. When the son of Mr. Ulukardesler Sinior, Serdar Ulukardesler, has continued the family business, the cultivate of silk cocoon in Turkey has started to reduce. The need of business realignment has appeared.The to the sheep breeding premises and extensive experience of collaboration with textile and carpet industries helped to make choice in favour of wool direction. Though the silk business still stands high, we are utterly concentrated at present on wool field.We have built firm relations with Turkish farmers as trusted suppliers, installed up-to date processing and stocking facilities to exercise a permanent quality control of wool products.
