Wood in power out, yes that is effective , For some one with no power to begin with, very effective! And the added bonus of gas for cooking and refrigeration even more effective.Green environment is the all important thing. By growing crops to use as fuel , Bamboo as one of our favourites as it fast growing and a wide range of other uses ideal crop for developing nations. We have concentrated on bamboo as it grows almost every where in the world and farmers need no special skills to grow it. Bamboo is one of the fastest growing plants in the world so there for it is perfectly suited to be grown as a biomass crop. Other advantages of bamboo is that it will grow in very poor soils, needs very little attention , only 36years to reach maturity (depending on species ) , high yields per acre , keeps on producing for decades even centuries as where other crops once harvested have to be replanted and grown from scratch again.Effectively, the use of energy such that it meets the present demands without damaging the resource for the ability of future generations to meet their own needs.
