ORChem began our business in 1991 as a distributor of PTH chemicals in Korea. In mid 1990s we took the first step as a manufacturer of PCB process chemicals starting with production of a PCB etching chemical. Then there was no Korean manufacturer of PCB process chemicals and the industry depended on imported chemicals. Since then, however, a few companies such as ORChem have succeeded in developing own technology of manufacturing most all PCB process chemicals through focused investments and R&D efforts. ORChem, in particular, concentrated our efforts to develop own technologies of competitiveness and successfully developed own PTH chemicals in 1998. Additionally, we have developed various thinning solution and etching solutions for PCB process. We have also made significant progress with chemicals for LCD, PDP and semiconductor processes. Environment-friendly technology has become a major source of competitiveness in this 'era of environment warfare' of the 21st century. ORChem has made proactive R&D investments in this area since 2000. As a result we have launched environment-friendly products such as environment-friendly PTH copper plating, White Tin and EMI. ORChem will continue to focus on environment-friendly technology development and maintain flexibility in our management against changing business environments to enable proactive and timely countermeasures. ORChem will thus consolidate our image as an environment-friendly business and develop our environment-friendly technology into a major factor of our competitiveness. We pledge to contribute to growth of the domestic process chemical industry as a leading process chemical manufacturer of the highest competitiveness.
