After its establishment in November 1959, China National Complete Plant Import & Export Corporation (Group) (Complant for short) had, entrusted by the Chinese Government during the following 34 years, been functioning as a special authority executing China’s economic and Technical aids to other developing countries, which internally administered and managed China-aided projects by using its power authorized by the Government, and externally contracted and organized implementation of more than 1,400 China-aided projects in Asian, African and Latin American countries, contributing so much to the friendship and collaboration between China and other developing countries and being highly commended by the governments and people of recipient countries.In the year of 1993, in response to the changing situation, Complant was reorganized, under the support of the ministry in charge of foreign trade and economic relations, into a comprehensive trading group with independent accounting and management, which assumes sole responsibility for its profits or losses. In 1994, Complant was designated by the State Council as one of the 100 experimental enterprises with modern corporate system in china and a series of reforms had been adopted in line with a modern corporate's administration structure and management mode, which resulted in a steady progress in its internationalization, industrialization, integration, and specialization.
