Concorde Garments Limited (CGL), one of the first garment factories in Bangladesh, was set up in 1983 by Sayeeful Islam, the current Managing Director. The factory is located in the the Mirpur Industrial Area; about 20 minutes drive from the center of Dhaka city, the capital of Bangladesh. The company is now aiming to be a specialized manufacturer of high quality men’s shirts, though it also produces ladies blouses and boy’s school-shirts once in a while, depending on the prices offered for the products.Over the years, through dedicated efforts on the part of management, through many ups and downs, the factory has been able earn a respectable position amongst the well-known shirt manufacturing factories in Bangladesh. As mentioned before, it is now aiming even higher to be the one of the best shirt-making factories not only in Bangladesh but also compete globally with competitors in China, India, and other shirt producing countries of the world.
