COOL HAND CARDS [xx]was set up with the notion that it was very much time tointroduce new and exciting ideas into the greetings card industry.The ideas behind the initial ranges were created from the notion that consumers tastes were rapidly improving, and this could be seen on thehigh street through their fashion and lifestyle decisions. We wanted consumers to have something a little different to the mainstreampastel hues and frills, something which was less middle of the road, andslightly [but not too] edgy. Also, we felt is was a good idea to have severaldesigns which were not specific to Birthdays. These could be used asgeneral cards [caption less], just to say hello, or as a thank you.We intend to develop ideas which are specifically tailored to the malesector of the market. This will no doubt be our sternest challenge, and we feel it is all about the subject matter and the treatment of this.It is our intention to start introducing our ranges not only to local independentretail outlets, but also on a national scale. Hopefully the industry is ready for something slightly different.
