DNAPrint Genomics, Inc. is a premier genetic testing service company focusing on three market areas. Consumer products for the genealogy market with our line of genetic ancestry products that allow individuals to look back into the genetic ancestry nearly 20,000 to determine which part of the globe their ancestors migrated. This service is used in conjunction with standard genealogy searches to help narrow the field of search and look back farther in time. Our product AncestryByDNA is a premier product but we also do identity testing, Mitochondrial testing (mother to mother) and y-chromosome testing (father to father). In addition to consumer genealogy we have used this technology to help solve crimes. In the U.S., England and Canada we have been involved with nearly 200 criminal investigations where the identity of the victim is unknown or the identity of the criminal is unknown but DNA evidence is available. With as little as 2 nanograms of DNA, our company can provide a approximate description using our nearly 6,000 person volunteer photo database. We can also determine the eye color and to some extent the hair color of the individual. Our final application is in the field of diagnostics and medicines. DNA is an important factor when studying or developing diagnostics or medicines for broad global applications. Scientists, doctors and patients have known for many generations that medicines and diagnostics are dependent upon inheritance and a persons genetic ancestry.
