Feather & Stone Native Crafts is 100% Canadian/Native owned and operated. Starting as a cottage industry company in 1997, in Ontario, Canada, the owner/operators of Feather & Stone Native Crafts, Michelle de Pina and Anthony Stead produced traditional Native American crafts in a way that would show the evolution of traditional styles as they would pertain to a continually evolving world consciousness and market. The companys aim is to provide items of outstanding quality and design, while offering its customers with friendly, knowledgeable service. Respect and reverance for Native American culture is the wellspring from which the company derives its creativity. In particular, the company has concentrated on the evolution of the traditional craft of dream catchers to become a symbol of balance and connectedness between Native and all other peoples and cultures. Feather & Stone also creates Native American medicine wheels that reflect inter-connectedness, as well as shields that teach traditional lessons through totem animals and symbols. Our primary goal as artists, and as a company, is to offer superior crafts and products at fair and competitive prices, while being able to share elements of our native culture with others in a way that is both beautiful and meaningful. Feather & Stone Native Crafts products come with story tags that are both informative as well as eloquent. The company also does custom work, and will work with individuals or companies requiring specific details on items as time and work loads allow. Feather and Stone is currently working on the development of initiatives that will benefit marginalized women.
