Garware Chemicals Ltd; company, promoted by Garware Polyester Ltd., has successfully developed technology for manufacture of Biodiesel as per IS 15607:2005 Specifications, through its In-house Research and Development. Its plant at Waluj, Aurangabad, Maharashtra is producing 100 Tons per day Biodiesel, using Palm fatty acid distillate as Raw material, and The Company plans to enhance this capacity to 500 Tons per day within next Two months time. Garware is the first, once again in India, to produce Biodiesel on such large scale on commercial basis. Biodesel manufactured by our company has passed all the tests as per BIS. The biodiesel has also been tested at Indian Oil Corporations R&D Center at Faridabad, a prestigious laboratory and the same has passed the BIS norms. Biodiesel has distinct advantages over petro-diesel. Biodiesel is a renewable energy source. It reduces pollution in a big way. It also improves the lubricity.
