Guangxi Research Institute of Mechanical Industry Co., Ltd(GRIMI)was founded in 1964. It has made great contributions to the research and the industrial service on common technology of Guangxi mechanical industry over the past 50 years. In 2001, GRIMI transformed into the a state-owned and wholly-owned technology enterprise. In 2008, GRIMI was identified as national high-technology enterprise. At present, GRIMI is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Guangxi Communications Investment Group Co., Ltd. Since the 13th Five Year Plan, GRIMI proposed the development strategy bases on the research and development of special intelligent robots and 3D printing technology, aims to build a platform for cooperation between military and civilian integration technology innovation, and strives to be the first-class intelligent manufacturing enterprise.
