The Dutch potato growers organisation Nedato was established in 1963 when a group of potato growers from the islands of Voorne-Putte and Hoeksche Waard combined their strength into a cooperative. After over 50 years, Nedato is still one of the largest, most dynamic cooperative players in the European potato market.Potatoes with a white or red skin, white or yellow flesh, firm or floury texture, large or small size and that are washed, virtually soil-free or unwashed. Nedatos export selection is extremely varied and extensive. Whether it concerns a bulk export of 1250 kilos or a small delivery of 0.5 kilos, whether the client prefers jute packaging or red or yellow netting. anything is possible. Nedato delivers about 100,000 tonnes of potatoes annually to retailers, hotels, restaurants, caterers, food service companies, wholesalers and packaging and processing companies outside of the Netherlands.
