The NPTA Alliance shall foster and promote the interests and welfare of the paper merchandising and distribution trade and the industry of which it is a part.(a)By providing a lawful forum for the discussion of matters relating to the business of the industry;(b)By fostering research and the development of information leading to increased knowledge, efficiency, productivity and economy in the distribution of paper and allied products;(c)By promoting a better understanding of mutual problems among paper merchants and their suppliers;(d)By compiling and disseminating lawful and reliable statistical information pertaining to paper distribution trade;(e)By representing the interests of the industry in every lawful way before federal, state and local government agencies;(f)By performing such other lawful trade association activities as will promote the welfare of the paper distribution industry, consistent with the public interest.
