Crimson Quartz Sandstone In The Form Of Crushed Aggregate 2-5 Mm
Crimson quartz sandstone is a decorative stone and may be used to cover walls, as roofing tiles, as flooring, stairsteps and pavement stones. It is very resistant to chemical aggression, so as a crushed stone it may be used in landscape gardening, as a filler in an ornamental concrete and even in highway construction. Since quartz sandstone has a very high quartz content it is presently used as a source of silica for manufacturing of glass and refractory products.
Possible use of Crimson Quartzite includes fireplaces, fountains, flowerpots, kitchen countertops, various architectural elements, tombstones. The tomb of Napoleon Bonaparte was made of Crimson quartzite, as well as Lenin's Mausoleum in Moscow and the base of the monument of Nicholas I Emperor of Russia in Saint-Petersburg.
