DYE FIXING AGENT Details
Dye fixing agent improves the wet fastness of Direct & Reactive dyeing and prints. Direct dyes, Which have poor washing Fastness on cotton fabrics can be improved by incorporation of DFA in the final washing operation. Reactive dyes which are prone to hydrolysis with water give inferior wet fastness & also blending of colour takes place when washing off is not through. Both above defects can be corrected by using DFA in the final washing operation with acetic acid.
