Nuts

A nut is a small, hexagonal, or sometimes square metal block with an internal threaded hole. It is used in conjunction with a bolt to fasten two or more objects together. Nuts are typically made of steel, stainless steel, brass, aluminum, or plastic, depending on the required strength and environmental conditions.

Types of Nuts:

• Hexagonal Nuts: The most common type, with six sides and internal threading, designed to fit onto bolts with matching threads.
• Wing Nuts: Featuring "wings" on either side to allow manual tightening without tools.
• Lock Nuts: Designed to resist loosening due to vibration or external forces, often using nylon inserts or other locking mechanisms.
• Cap Nuts: A closed-end nut used to cover the exposed end of a bolt, providing a clean finish and additional protection.
• Square Nuts: These nuts have a square shape and are often used when high torque is needed in a confined space.

Applications: Nuts are used in many different sectors, including automotive, aerospace, construction, and electronics. They are often paired with bolts to secure parts in machines, structures, or equipment.
