Rust Conversion Coatings
New Products From This Supplier
A weakly acidic polymer complex chemically reacts with steel oxides (rust), converting the rust into a black organic iron compound. A composite film, formed on the steel surface through both chemical and physical bonding, isolates the steel substrate from external media, protecting it from corrosion.
Product Features
Easy Application: For general surface rust, manual polishing is not required; the coating can be applied directly to the rusted surface by brushing or spraying. This reduces the time, labor, and dust associated with machine and sandblasting rust removal, improving efficiency and reducing costs.
Environmentally Friendly: The water-based solvent contains no harmful substances like benzene and formaldehyde, and produces no volatile gases, benefiting both the environment and worker health.
Strong Rust Prevention: The resulting protective film is strong and dense, with strong adhesion. It effectively isolates moisture and oxygen, preventing further oxidation and corrosion of the metal. It also offers excellent salt spray and weather resistance.
Quick Drying: The coating dries quickly, typically forming a protective film in 15-20 minutes. Subsequent painting can be performed 3-5 hours later, shortening the application cycle. Applications: Widely used in the manufacture and maintenance of steel structures, color-coated steel tiles, tunnels, bridges, urban construction facilities, highway facilities, railway facilities, ships, dock and port machinery facilities, petroleum facilities, metallurgical and chemical equipment. It can be used as a rust-removing and anti-rust primer before painting, and can also be used alone as a rust-removing and anti-rust paint.
