Saffron
New Products From This Supplier
Mina Sahar Saffron is a NYC based company importing saffron from the Herat region of Afghanistan. Our saffron, categorized as "Super Negin", is graded as the highest quality in the world when it comes to color, taste, and aroma. This variety is the most potent, the threads are longer and trimmed symmetrically, to remove all yellow and orange, and it is a crimson ruby color. It is naturally NON-Gmo, Non-Irradiated and hand harvested from a sustainable farm co-op we have partnered with. Saffron is a culinary delight that will transform a dish from ordinary to extraordinary by giving it a glorious golden hue and a nuanced sweet, floral, earthy flavor. We are a new company but already sourcing wholesale to some of the finest spice stores in the world, such as SOS chefs, Dual Natural Spices, Essex Olive and Spice, and to some natural food stores in our own branding.
We seek to give back to the communities in Afghanistan by pledging to give back 10 % of our profits to fund grassroots aid. Our vision is to connect Afghan farmers to international markets. We are excited to work with you and have you experiece our delightful saffron!

Mina Sahar Saffron imports premium, Super Negin grade saffron from the Herat Region of Afghanistan. This is the most potent saffron when it comes to aroma, taste and color. This means the saffron is all red, minimal crumbs and the most coveted by chefs. We source our saffron to some of the finest spice stores in New York City. We work directly with a sustainable farming co-op in Afghanistan and our supply chain is secure. We sell wholesale as well as in our own packaging. Our saffron is from the most current harvest. When saffron is stored correctly, in a airtight container in cool dark conditions, it will remain potent for up to 3 years. We strive to give back to the communities we harvest saffron in and pledge to give 10 percent of our profits to grassroots aid in Afghanistan. We look forward to working with you and providing you with the highest quality of saffron in the world!
