The year 1985 saw two experienced and reputed tea men, namely Nirmal Ranasinghe and Travice Fernando establishing a traditional trading house to set in motion a cherished vision they shared for many years. Today, more than 30 years later, Ranfer Group of Companies, incorporated primarily to export teas, has expanded to engulf 14 companies with a diversified field of actives. Ranfer Teas (Private) Limited has remained the mainline activist of the group, presently enjoying a wide spectrum of clientele in over 40 countries around the world. The group also maintains offices in Kenya and Malawi and Vietnam, in keeping with their policies of off-shore trading. The supplies from these centres are marketed to an over expanding base of consumer markets. The Group's trading activities, in respect of other traditional and non-traditional products such as Spices, Coconut products, Pulses, Oil Seeds, Coffee Beans, Cashew Nuts etc, have reflected a very promising growth.
