Dear sir/madam, we need an Electric arc furnace to produce Boron carbide. Requirements are sending, so could you inform us about this issue? Requirements Its capacity about 1 m3 inner volume and should be operated with 150 kg raw material feed to produce 25 kg of boron carbide when ignored losses due to unreacted materials (this capacity may changed as reasonable if design parameters necessitate). Most of the losses caused by reaction itself and emitted as carbon monoxide gases and water vapor. The trafo system of the EAF (electric transformer&rectifier etc.) should working with minimum 60-90 volt and 2500 ampere, all electric voltage and current should be controlled and tuned in a specific ranges with using control panel. The operation temperature inside the furnace should be heated up to 2500-3000°C (at the center of the pot). All system must to be designed with regard this temperatures. The system must be operated at least 8 hours at 2500°C continuously as consistently. The arc furnace pot has to be grafit rafracter based and walled on thick metal shield. The arc furnace system should operated with three grafit electrodes. These electrode arms should be lifting moving up&down as automatically using control panel. The arc furnace should be ventilated to outside because of possible outstream byproduct gases and dusts. The important matter is to made easy and suitable way from top of the furnace, thus the furnace must be designed with consider this fact. These are our main design parameters, however they are can be changed and arranged reasonably temper to process working demands if necessary
