I would like to quote a basket centrifuge for a special application: Our costumer is a herbs extract producer, so they need a 250 Kg batch centrifuge. From the 250 kg, 100 kg are chopped herbs (leaves, steams, flowers) particle sizes from 1 to 20 mm. The rest is a mix of water and ethanol to produce herbs extract, so the motor must be explosion proof. What they do is that they macerate the herbs in this water/ethanol mix and let them drain by gravity. They want to recover the extract that stays in the herbs by a basket centrifuge so we need to recover as much as the equipment can.
