I am attempting to design an air driven car (air tanks as the stored energy vs. a battery) driving alternator, driving motors to rotate the wheels. The alternator needs to be driven at the peak performance speed driven from a coupled an air motor to obtain maximum efficiency of operation. I need to know H.P. rating, KW rating or some other work/torque related term to mate the alternator with a properly sized air motor, which will also rotate at the peak performance RPM. Weight is a consideration. Efficiency of operation is a consideration. Mounting brackets can be adjusted to fit the alternator model. I only need one alternator to begin with for development purposes. There may be many future purchases, following the final care design.
