Hello,The company I work for has an interest in exporting approximately 70 tons of square panela to Canada per year. This would be a long term, ongoing contract providing the quality of the sugar is high enough to meet our standards. We would be using the Panela in our distilling process. Is this a capacity your company can handle?Caldera Distilling was incorporated in Nova Scotia and operations are located in a small rural town called River John. Caldera Distilling is looking to capture the rich historyof shipbuilding and trade that once occurred in the region. It was not long ago most of the original trade vessels with the Caribbean and the Maritimes where built in the town of River John. We will be producing three products. Initially, two will be grain based whisky named Caldera and Hurricane 5. The third product will be a sugar based rum. It is the search for high quality Panela sugar cane product, which can be brought back to Nova Scotia for distillation into high quality rum, that I am contacting you. The distillation of alcohol provides a unique opportunity for the town of River John in so far as once produced the product does not turn bad and is ideally suited for export to other markets. We would be interested in purchasing a small amount of your Panela to sample so as to ensure the quality level we are seeking can be met. If you like, we can set up a phone call for today or next week. I look forward to your reply. Kind regards,Keaton I. GairnsCaldera Distilling Inc.
