We would like to seize the opportunity to introduce ourselves. Sinai White Cement Company,SWC is active in Egypt in the production and distribution of white cement. It is owned by Aalborg Portland a Subsidiary of Cementir Holding Group.Cementir is among the main international producers of construction materials with manufacturing plants in 13 countries and a work force of over 3400 persons. Our Group is the world leader in white cement production and among the main global producers of grey cement and concrete.Since 1996 we have been pursing a strategy of geographic diversification which has radically changed our group into a multinational reality with 110 concrete production plants,20 cement and manufactured products production plants,2 global research and development centers at the leading edge of this sector.SWCs plant was built in 1999 and started production in late 2001, with annual capacity of 410.000 tons. It is located in the Sinai Peninsula, approx. 50 km from the Mediterranean harbor of El Arish.The second production line has started operations. This expansion brings the total plant capacity to approx. 1.1 million tons of white cement, making it one of the largest white cement plants in the Mediterranean area. Sinai White Cement Company is currently into sourcing Fluorspar (CaF2) for its 2012 production plan & we are inviting you to participate into this RFP.
