Characteristics of the initial coal: - humidity - up to 15%, - yield of volatile substances - 40 - 43%, - ash content - up to 6%, - size - from 0 to 5 mm. - the initial coal is sintered during carbonation, so it must first be oxidized to prevent sintering. The quality of the obtained activated carbon is assumed as follows: iodine number - up to 900, absorption of methylene blue - up to 150 mg/g, bulk density - up to 0.45 g in a cubic centimeter, strength - more than 75%, particle size of activated carbon less than 0.15 mm, crushed activated carbon - 1-5 mm.
