Dear ladies and gentlemen.I'm looking for a manufacturer who could be able to produce a special bulb. The german word is: "Bienenkorbglimmlampe",literally translated as: "bee skep glow lamp".It was produced from approx. the 1930s to the 1980s by the German company Osram. During WWII, this lamp was the only one allowed to use, as it was not as bright as other light bulbs and cities were trying to hide in darkness. And it was very beautiful! Now, the "bee skep glow lamp" (the german word is: "Bienenkorbglimmlampe")has a E27Socket, and the Voltage is 220 V AC/23 Watt (for Germany). It's nescessary to take a prerestistor into the socket: It should be about 5000 Ohm.(!)The material of the electrodes (in form of the "basket") is pure iron, and the discharge is neon ( 1 mbar).Sometimes there is a few Hg mixed thereby.(It's usual at the neon's, but I don't really know, whether it's really nescessary, because it's poison!)I have some jpg.pictures and further info's, and if you want to know about them,so let me know. But firstly I want to take this question only. Now I'm looking onto the market here in Germany, to perhaps make an effort of reselling them here in Germany.May be there in your country could be a manufacturerto recreate this "bee skep glow lamp" again?Kind regards.G.v. Lüttichau,Germany.
