Let me first introduce myself as a Sri Lankan Entrepreneur now domiciled in California, USA.I have over 30 years of experience in Trading activities in Sri Lanka with the State Organizations with very cordial relations with the decision makers in the Government establishments.I am sending this email to you because there is an urgent requirement for Crude & Refined Fuel oils to Sri Lanka. The Ceylon Petroleum Corporation is the state owned Energy company that refine and distribute over 75% of petroleum products to Sri Lanka.The only refinery they have is designed to refine Iran crude oil, and now due to the US embargo they are unable to import Iran oil for refining. Until such time they modify the Refinery to suit other crude oil, they are now buying refined Gas oil, Diesel, Aviation Oil etc from other sources from the spot market. They are therefore now looking or a supplier who could supply petroleum product at a competitive rate on a long term basis, for which the Letters of Credit will be opened through, HSBC bank, Standard Charted Bank, Bank of Ceylon or any other acceptable bank.I would be therefore appreciate very much if you could let me know whether you are in a position to supply Crude (Iranian grade) or refined fuel to Sri Lanka, with a list of products you could supply.On receipt of your positive response I will send you the specifications and the quantities required per shipment.
