RFQ Description

We need about 40,000 meter of GROOVED-GIRDER RAIL Immediately -(R340GHT, HSH) with 60R2 girder groove section in 25-m lengths with blind ends for welding. I like it to be manufactured using the latest EN14811 edition which represents the state of the art for Grooved Rails. (Please, not the low quality stuff but Carbon Steel No. 1 rail that is free of injurious in perfections and flaws of any kind lets say at least in accordance with ASTM A2). Other important bits and pieces of spec. could be: min. tensile strength of 1175 Newton(s)/square mm; min. 9 percent elongation post fracture; BHN of greater than 340 up to 390 max; I am going to send an inspector to the manufacture (anywhere in the world) to stay and help in keeping the quality up by testing regularly (Inspector will measure for surface upsweep and lateral side sweep along the head and gauge line, respectively not the other way); Also I would like the rail manufacture to note that maximum allowable direct current (DC) resistance has to be no more than 10.5 x 10^-6 ohms per foot. For branding Manufactures rolling marks can be rolled on the outside of the web (running head side) in relief at least 0,8mm high and in characters that are clearly of between 15mm and 20mm identifying the mill, the last two figures of this year (unless I am lucky and somebody already have this type of rail in their inventory) of manufacturing, the rails profile identification and the symbol for the steel grade. Allowable tolerances for dimensions: (Section Oversize/Undersize:) height of rail +1.5 mm -1.5 mm; width of groove +1 mm -1 mm; depth of groove +1 mm -1 mm; Rail depth relative to surface +2 mm -2 mm; width of rail head +1 mm -1 mm; width of grooved head +2 mm -2 mm; width of foot +1 mm -3 mm; web thickness +1 mm -0.5 mm; web and running edge offset +3 mm -3 mm; foot and running; edge offset +3 mm -3 mm; running edge radius +1 mm -1 mm; height of fishing surface +1.5mm -1.5 mm; base concavity +1 mm -0 mm; twist over rail length max. 3 mm; web-foot square(ness) +1.5eg; -1,5eg;; As for permissible variations lets say 1.5 mm more and 0 mm less in base thickness. For length up to 5% of rail may be shorter than the 25 meter length, but can take anything less than 8 meters. In general a variation of plus or minus 22 mm from the 25 meter length will be OK. Again it is important that the rail straightness be in accordance with EN14811 (also the rail chemical composition got to be in accordance with EN14811). Rail ends shall be cut square to the vertical axis of the rail. A tolerance of one mm out of square from the base to the head will be OK. email or call me *@********************
