If you are not, the basic principle is that the retailer gets a sales order from its customer and then the retailer purchases that item from his supplier & the supplier ships the order directly to the customer on behalf of the retailer.Drop shipping offers great benefits to you as the supplier. As the retailer is not limited to what they can purchase & store, the potential volume of order is extremely large as they could offer the suppliers entire range of items for sale if they wish.Not only will the supplier benefit from higher volume, they will also benefit financially as retailers are willing to pay a higher price per unit for drop shipping. This extra drop shipping fee will compensate the supplier for the extra admin burden of dispatching the goods to individual customers. Also, the cost of shipping will be passed onto the retailer.The arrangement is very simple to setup.
