Dear Sir/Madam,Thank you for your attention. I have been a dance teacher for many years and have been able to establish dance courses for the underprivileged in Gaza, Jordan, Thailand, Pakistan and India. On three different occasions I had the privilege to work with former Fleetwood Mac lead guitarist Jeremy Spencer. I was able to organize and help create music and dance programs as fund-raisers for the National Association of the Blind in India. I also worked in Gaza working with Palestinian refugee children teaching dance and eventually having the children perform on two occasions in Palestine and for the Arab League in Egypt.Since being in Turkey (from 1995) I have had a dream to open an Arts Center for poor Turkish children. Sadly, In Turkey, the arts in all its forms are not readily available to the poor, as only private schools (and very expensive ones) give classes in art, music and dance. Also unavailable to the poor are English courses, and in my dream school, English would be taught as well as the main spoken language in the classes. A few months ago a house was donated for our arts center! (In Sariyer, Istanbul) This dream is slowly but surely becoming a reality! The reconstruction of the home is under way as I write and should be completed by the end of July. If this timetable works, we hope to open the school by the end of Sept.Our dream come true arts school is truly unique and I doubt that there is any such existing program anywhere else in Istanbul. The purpose of this email is to ask if it would be possible for your company to supply complimentary ballet shoes for the children that will attend our classes? These are very poor families who could not afford to purchase these shoes for their children¬¦nevertheless, it would be imperative for the students to have the proper shoes to learn to dance.Words fail to express the magnitude of our gratitude if you are able to grant this request.
