Mr.Helmer: I represent a company in Chile that is interested in introducing electric scooters and electric motorcycles and represent a Chinese company in our country. In Chile there are no electric scooters or motorcycles,that is why we want to be the first to offer this kind of vehicle in Chilean Market. Our cities have great problems in transport. In Santiago people may take between 1 hour to 2 hours to go to their jobs. In the other cities it doesncute;t take so much time but there are small quantities of buses. Even more, our cities (inclosed by mountains) have lots of air pollution. We want to offer a secure, not contaminaiting and low cost way of transportation....and we think electric scooters are the solution. We have seen that the prices of electric scooters and motorcycles get very high when they come with lithium batterys, this is why we ask you to give us prices of the vehicles with lead acid batterys and the alternative with lithium batterys. For about the last 3 years Chinese cars are being sold here, so people is not quite sure about the quality of your products. This is the main reason that we must be very sure that the product we bring are Top Rank. To start I think we must try whith 2 kind of scooters or motorcycles......one about us$ 400 Fob and the other for about Us$ 800 . We are willing to have a product with a max.speed between 50 and 70 kms, with hub brushless motor, hidraulic suspension,front and rear disk brakes. During the last years the importation of chinese gas scooters has grown a lot. We must compete in that market, electric scooters must compete in price and speed, we know that the travelling cost and mainteinance are cheaper for electric, but is difficult to tell some one that they must drive not over 45 kms. Chileans are high speed conducters. It is very important for you to know that Chile has lots of mountains and the cities are not totally flat, so I think that the scooters must permit a climbing capacity of 25% .Is it possible if you can send me prices, models and photos of the products you think can match with our needs.? About Certifications, selling a product certified in Europe and the States is much easier than a not certified product. Here in Chile people claim for their rights and there is a goverment service where people is assisted when they are not happy with what they bought. Know you know a little more about us and with this I am sure that you can guide us to the products we need according to our Chilean reality. The seaport can be Valparaiso or San Antonio.
