I am writing to you regarding sponsorship in the form of haircalf skins from your esteemed company to support my final collection for my graduation from the MFA Fashion Design and Society program at Parsons The New School for Design in New York.The MFA Fashion Design & Society program was launched in September 2010 and is unique within the USA. It has been strongly supported by Donna Karan and Diane von Furstenburg and offers a unique interdisciplinary approach to fashion design.The first cohort of the program graduated and formed part of the prestigious The First Eighteen Exhibition that was held in New York City this past May. These first MFA Fashion Design & Society graduates received sponsorships from companies such as Calvin Klein, DVF, Lacoste, Loro Piana and Aldo.The New York Fashion Week in September 2013 is my expected presentation. As with the sponsors for the 2012 graduates, the sponsors of the 2013 graduates will receive representation within the MFA Fashion Design & Society catalogue as well as being a key sponsor to this unique program in New York Fashion Week. The MFA work has attracted press from The New York Times (http://www.nytimes.com/2012/05/24/fashion/the-new-masters-of-parsons.html); WWD; Collezioni Trends; Marie Claire (US); Textile World; SO-EN (Japan) from projects alone and we envisage more international press from a key exhibition that will take place during London Fashion Week in February 2012 at the Benjamin Franklin House, called Emerging Talents: International Fashion Showcase 2012. The MFA are to represent the US Embassy within this project and international key press and buyers will attendance from the fashion industry.To give you a brief overview of who I am, I have held design positions at companies such as Calvin Klein Womens Collection, Coach, as well as private-label companies were my responsibilities have included: designing woven tops, dresses, pants, skirts, outerwear, full-fashioned and cut-n- sew knits, prints, embroideries, and trims; assisting in fittings with Design and Atelier teams.
