RFQ Description

Hello,I spoke with you earlier over the telephone from the UK.I have designed a very special glove that will use a & Conductive Lycra& heating element to keep golfers hands warm in winter.Information on conductive lycra:This material looks and feels like ordinary Lycra but is highly conductive. It can be cut into narrow strips to form conducting €˜wires€„¢ or can be used as a soft compliant substitute for metal and foil in switches and sensors. Amazingly, its conductivity depends how tightly it is stretched so if you pull it, the resistance increases (and drops again when stretched very tightly). In a thin strip, the material also warms up when current is passed thus provides the basis of a heated garment or product such as a hat or gloves.Application tips: Cut out a 25 mm wide x 300 mm long strip and experiment with simple circuits using crocodile clip leads to get a €˜feel€„¢ for its practical applications. If you connect this strip to a 6v battery, you will be able to feel an appreciable warming effect. (But note: because of the current drain, batteries have a relatively short life when used for heating.)Resistance 5 Ω per 100mm. Increasing to 20 Ω when stretched to 150mm in one axis but dropping to 2.5 Ω when stretched at 90º to this.We would like to incorporate this heating element into the glove. Wires, a coin cell battery, Thinsulate and Mylar film will also be sandwiched in the design. Our design will produce a heated golf glove for winter use. We are currently in talks with major worldwide golf retailers to be the sole supplier of this product for them and with this in mind the idea needs to be kept confidential. I am working on a prototype glove which I will be happy to send to you once completed. The gloves need to be very high quality, performance and available at a very good price. Please send me your contact details and opinions about the idea. Do you have a confidentiality agreement Non Disclosure Agreement you could send to me please? If not I can provide you with one.I look forward to your response.Kind regards,Ollie Chapman+44 ***7884
