Shell-Ex Biomarine recently acquired a shell drying plant which we are adapting into a biorefinery. Renovations have been completed in time for the 2014 shrimp shell drying season to service clinets inthe chitin extraction industries.The company management team has decades of experience in international trade, marine processing, and research and development.Our plant in Twillingate is producing high quality dry shrimp shell. Shell is freshly processed every hour with deliveries from the peeling plant located 4 km from our plant. Freshness is critical for our process. Dryed shell is compressed into 20 kg blocks and bagged for easy handling on pallets and or handpacking. The blocks can be packed 20 mt per container. The Biorefinery will add new products in protein and crab shell in 2015 for the animal feed and chitin extraction industries.
