Shenyang Machine Tool (Group) Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as SYMG) was founded in 1995 by reorganizing three assets of Shenyang No. 1 Machine Tool Works, China-Czechoslovakia Friendship Works and Shenyang No. 3 Machine Tool Works. These factories once produced the first metal national emblem of China, the first belt driven lathe, the first radial drilling machine, the first conventional lathe, the first CNC lathe in China and successfully developed the rail beam processing equipment for Shanghai maglev train at the beginning of 21st century, which was a miracle in the history of machine tools in China and identified the design and manufacturing of SYMG has reached the world's leading level in this field. Since 2004, after the acquisition of SCHIESS GmbH, the reorganization of Yunnan Machine Tool Works and the holding of Kunming Machine Tool Limited Company, three industrial clusters had been formed in Shenyang, Kunming and Aschersleben, Germany. There are a machine movement control technology center in Shanghai and CNC machine tool structure design centers in Berlin and Stuttgart, Germany.
