Started from the Spring-Autumn Period and the Warring States Period and flourished in the Han and Tang dynasties, Shu Brocade is a bright pearl in the ancient material civilization of the Chinese Nation. Early in 1908, Shu Brocade received a golden award on Panama World's fair. In 1917, Shu Brocade won international gold award during the EXPO held in Southeast Asia. In 1937, Shu Brocade won the 'Award of Oriental Beauty' during the World EXPO held in New York, USA.The sericulture industry of Sichuan in the Han and Tang dynasties was at the height of splendor. The Shu Brocade at that time was not only a tribute to the imperial court, but also an award of the imperial court to princes, marquises and aristocrats. The ancient Shu Brocade, , the Five-Star Brocade unearthed from the tomb of the king or Jingjue Kingdom in Niya Site of Xinjiang, is the evidence. In addition, it also overcome the defects of computerized digital interweaving process that result in dull and obscure tint as well as bald and simple texture.
