The main aim of the investment project is the construction of Russias first plant to produce oriented-strand boards (OSB), wood-fiber insulation boards (WFIB) and wooden I-beams (I-Beam) on the territory of the Irkutsk Oblast. The full cycle of waste-free production, starting with the timber harvesting to the finished product (houses) will be created.The plant construction is planned to start up in the 2nd quarter, 2011. The first stage of the plant is expected to be put into operation in the 3rd quarter, 2013. By 2016 the plant will produce: - 500, 000 m3 of OSB; - 250, 000 m3 of WFIB; - 1, 000, 000 lm of Wooden I-beams;- 150, 000 m3 of export class lumber.The plant will be equipped with the most technologically advanced equipment from Germany, Canada, USA, Switzerland and Italy. The company will introduce waste-free technology of production. The plant will install Russias largest power unit that runs on waste production and biomass.
