Sichuan Pharmaceutical, Inc. is a large private pharmaceutical company which was restructured from the former Sichuan Pharmaceutical, Co., Ltd. Our company mainly engages in the development, manufacture and sale of antibiotics. Our predecessor, Sichuan Pharmaceutical Factory, was founded in 1958 and was the second biggest antibiotics producer next to the North China Pharmaceutical Company. Our company was also the biggest antibiotics production base in Southwestern China during the 1950s and our products have been sold to Europe, America and Southeast Asia. One of our products, Tetracycline Hydrochloride, passed FDA certification in 1992. Sichuan Pharmaceutical Factory was restructured into a limited liability company Sichuan Pharmaceutical Co., Ltd. in 1992 and was listed in the Shanghai Stock Exchange (security code: 600779) in 1996. Our company was one of the first listed pharmaceutical companies in southwestern region. In 1997, our company was acquired by Chengdu Quanxing Group and was formed into a joint venture company by Sichuan Pharmaceutical Inc. and United Laboratories Ltd. of Hongkong in 2003. With the approval of Chengdu Municipal Government, our branch was established with the introduction of private capital, which counts for 71% share in relation to the 29% state-owned share for the rest. Sichuan Pharmaceutical & Preparation Co. Ltd. was established in July 2005.At present, the new Sichuan Pharmaceutical, Inc. boasts not only our inheritance of 50 years' antibiotics manufacturing experiences and the well-controlled products and quality systems, but also our innovations. As a specialized company for antibiotics preparation, our company currently produces penicillin and cephalosporin antibiotic products under 120 brands, with 39 brands waiting for approval and 10 under research. Our production line for penicillin injection powder is the only one that has passed the GMP certification in Sichuan Province. All products are listed in the Medicine Catalogue for National Social Insurance.
