Mineralized Salt Blocks are highly compressed blocks, which are made up from unique formulations of crystal salt, major minerals and trace elements. The analysis/specification of blocks can be especially formulated to meet local nutritional needs and to help overcome dietary deficiencies.Mineralized Salt Block are manufactured using hydraulic presses that generate up to 10 tons pressure per square inch.(1.5 tones per sq. cm) This process enables what was originally loose powder material to form into a block that is as hard as rock. Because the blocks are so hard and condensed they are able to stand the severity of a wide variety of weather conditions such as rain and high humidity. The hardness of the block also vastly reduces the amount of wastage by comparison to softer less compressed blocks. Mineralized Salt Block are often called �licks� for this is how the animals obtain the benefits from them, by licking at the blocks. Mineralized Salt Block are sufficiently hard so as to avoid unnecessary wastage and yet posses a natural attractant in the form of salt so as to be appetising to the livestock and will encourage them to congregate around the blocks.There are 3 formulations available.All blocks come in 5 kg, 10 kg and 20 kg sizes and each block has a centre hole that enables them to be offered in variety of ways.
