Turip was founded in 1977 by Mukbil Oytay and Enis Yakak. For the first 10 years, the company specialized solely on combed, gassed, mercerized cotton sewing thread. While they accumulated expertise on cotton, polyester sewing thread saw an increase in demand in the market due to its competitiveness in price and effective use. Thus, they decided to enhance their product range by adding polyester. The decision came at a time when the garment industry in the Turkish market was growing rapidly. Turip grew simultaneously with the market. We diversified and expanded our product range steadily over the years to cover items such as staple spun, core spun and texturized polyester threads. Today with over 15 brands Turip is proud to offer a wide assortment of products and solutions to its partners. In 2004 Turip started producing trims for garments using its own thread and yarn collection. Today it is an essential part of the company. We are a lifelong business partner to our long standing and new customers. We respond and answer our customers&#39 needs with our expertise and know-how of over 40 years. As speed is vital in our industry, we service our clients with more than 4000 colors in stock at all times ready to dispatch. Our distribution channels are constructed to deliver the best and the fastest service possible. We operate on a total of 25.000 square meters. We export our products to 50 countries, and have over 170 distributors within Turkey and worldwide. Our latest state of the art production facility started its operation in 2013 in Tuzla, Istanbul. Built to provide the highest performance in speed and quality, we are able to answer our customers&#39 needs in the fastest way possible. All raw materials and products comply with OEKO-TEX Standard 100 Class 1 and tested thoroughly in our laboratories to meet Turip standards.
