In the recent past this business has been spun off as a fully owned subsidiary called U M Cables Limited. U M Cables is ISO 9001 and ISO 14001 certified from DNV, NETHERLANDS . It has the most modern and state-of-art manufacturing facility using European and Japanese machinery. The plant is located on the West Coast of India, about 150 KM from Mumbai Port. This location allows quick and reliable export to all ports of the world. Manufacturing Range: U M Cables manufactures the following types of Telecommunication Cables: 1. Optic Fibre Cable (2-144 Fibre) � in Multi-Loose tube or Ribbon design. � 2-12 Fibre for Cable TV application � Duct, Armoured & Aerial Cable 2. Jelly Filled Cable (upto 2400 pairs) � Underground Duct application, both Armoured and Unarmoured � Foam Skin or Solid Insulation � Aerial Fig 8 construction � 0.4 to 0.9 mm dia.
