Yantai Weiyun Foodstuff Co., Ltd. was founded in 1999. It is located in Laiyang City, Jiaodong Peninsula. The region is well known for producing quality fruits and vegetables in China. The company is adjacent to Yanqing Expressway, approximately 100km from Yantai Port, 120km from Qingdao Port, and 90km from Qingdao Airport. The founders of the company are entrepreneurs with extensive experiences in food processing. The company has autonomous rights for food import and export, and is specialized in growing, processing and trading frozen, fresh and canned fruits and vegetables.The fruits include strawberry, peach, apricot, cherry, apple, grape, Chinese gooseberry, pumpkin, watermelon, hami melon, orange, fig, chestnut, etc.The vegetables include sweat broad pea, garden bean, sweat pea, green asparagus, white asparagus, okra, small taro, garlic, ginger, pimiento, spinach, cole, etc.Our frozen fresh canned fruits and vegetables are sold to Germany, France, Belgium, Russia, Sweden, Britain, USA, Canada, Middle East, Southeast Asia, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan and other countries. They are well received by our customers.Currently we are capable of processing 10, 000 tons of fruits and vegetables with export sales exceeding $8 million. To meet the growing demand by our customers, we are planning to build a third food processing plant, which will be completed in May 2009 with an annual capacity of 16, 000 tons of fruits and vegetables primarily for the Chinese domestic markets.The company is a Sino-foreign joint venture. It occupies 26, 000 sq. meters, of which approximately 18, 000 sq. meters are for plants and office buildings. The company has 600 experienced managerial and technical employees and is equipped with advanced production and microorganism testing devices.
