Coeden Timber Limited is UK-owned and domiciled timber company.  Its administrative and finance structures are conducted in the UK,  whilst its timber operations are based in northern Brazil.  We  export various timber products either manufactured directly from our own plantations or acquired from local suppliers.     Although the timber industry is a global business with a huge number of participants, Coeden Timber offers its clients a point of difference as it can combine the robust nature of the UK’s financial and legal systems with the quality of Brazil’s products.   All our plantations have been grown from seed on farm lands, for commercial purposes.  Therefore, the plantations are a sustainable source of lumber that helps to combat deforestation.     Lumber procured by us, is only sourced from a supply chain of known origin. To ensure this, each supplier will provide certification documents known as Guias Florestais prior to any shipment being delivered to Coeden. These documents are issued by the Secretary of the Environment (SEMES) as the official government department responsible on behalf the Brazilian Ministry of Environment (IBAMA).       Accordingly, all material sold by Coeden Timber (whether manufacture or procured) is in line with both the European Union Timber Regulations (EUTR) 2013 as well as the Lacey Act in the United States of America.      These steps ensure that we are not purchasing any illegally harvested timber and that all our stock has a demonstrable chain of custody to prove it is procured from sustainable, government approved, managed projects.  We are committed to responsible trading.
