COMPANY Emiflex SpA founded in 1981 has two manufacturing facilities one in Varedo (Monza and Brianza) and the other in Siniscola (Nuoro). Within its production plant that covers 90.000 m2 Emiflex designs, manufactures and markets flexible metallic hoses, expansion joints, rubber joints, piping supports and flues. Emiflex serves both the civil and industrial market owing to the fact that its products have an extensive range of applicationsin the fields of heating, air conditioning, water and energy distribution. What sets Emiflex apart from its competitors is its expertise in designing and developing machinery for production and its ongoing pursuit of product enhancement. The company’s ongoing pursuit of product enhancement, coupled with the close and long term-business relationship with its numerous customers, has resulted in the successful manufacturing of a range of personalized products for a host of special applications. PRODUCTION Emiflex’s constantly increasing production capacity currently stands at over 2 milion meters of flexible hoses per year. Each single component is manufactured on site using in-house technology, thanks to its production plant that employs state-of-the-art machinery. The products include flexible metal hoses and expansion joints. Flexible metal hoses are principally used to connect domestic equipment to the methane gas and water distribution systems. Some of the most common installation involve the connection of household appliances like cookers, gas boilers and bathroom fittings. The hoses also have numerous industrial applications, where they are used to compensate movement between machine parts and to dampen possible vibration. Expansion joints are used in piping systems, equipment and whenever there is need to absorb movement, due for example to changes in temperature of carrier fluid or the surrounding environment, or due to vibration induced by devices connected to the pipeline. The range of applications are extensive and include: methane distribution networks, waterworks, heating plants, chemical, petrol - chemical, steel, textile, pharmaceutical and food industries, shipyards, electric force plants and the railway network.
