The brand patch is a leather or "leather-like" jacron label that goes on the waistband of jeans above the right back pocket. At first, the patch was meant to tell customers how strong the product was and help them remember the brand.
If you're using scrap denim and fusible, you'll sew the patch onto your jeans from the inside. If you have an iron-on patch, put it on your jeans from the outside. Iron the patch for four to six seconds, then let it cool. Check to see if the patch stuck to the jeans.

Jacrons Seventeen says that Levi's put the patches, which are called jacrons, on their denim overalls in the year 1873.
Put a piece of fabric that matches the patch on the inside of the area to make it stronger. Straight pins should be used to keep the two patches in place on the jeans. Sew around the edge of the patch to strengthen it. You can do this by hand with a whipstitch every 1/4 inch, or you can use a sewing machine.
It's best not to wait until holes appear. Before you wear a new pair of jeans for the first time, I suggest having patches sewn into the upper thigh and crotch area to add an extra layer of protection. Also, you should have the area patched as soon as you notice the hair getting thinner.
