Lee Chuan Guan Steel Sdn Bhd started business in Johor Bahru from a retail hardware shop in 1966. We were incorporated in 1982 & engaged in marketing full range of hardware products. Today, we have grown to be a leading hardware stockist in Malaysia with extensive inventory level in 30, 000mt. LCG achieved its significant product diversification by entering the structural and industrial steel inline with the rapid domestic economy growth since late 80’s. The past decade, LCG also aggressively engaged in oil field, marine, water treatment, automotive, civil construction and general manufacturing supplies. Apart from being the supplier of a comprehensive range of quality steel products from both reputable domestic and foreign mills, LCG aims to extend its commitment to customers by enhancing its service and facilitate its operation with latest equipments. A dedicated team is tasked to provide product support and assist customers in gaining greater effectiveness as well as efficiency. While we were engaged principally in exclusive wholesale and distributorship, effort have been made to ensure that we expand our manufacturing activities, in particular to produce products which are import substitutes. We have ventured into the manufacturing of ERW & Stainless Steel pipe & coil service centre in 1990 and formed a company namely Japmas Steel Sdn Bhd. Besides Japmas Steel Sdn Bhd, we have also expanded our operation and formed LCG Industries Sdn Bhd specializes in Scaffolding Industry. We are the sole distributor of Millennium Scaffolding System that uses Omni Ring and Top Lok System together with full range of Forged Steel accessories to enhance the OHS level at our domestic construction sites, particularly shipyards as well as oil gas plants. With its investment in both trading and manufacturing sectors, LCG is to further strengthen the position of being the leading ONE-STOP-STEEL provider not only in Southern Malaysia but moving beyond this territory as well. After 24 years of business in hardware dealer, LCG have diversified our business and formed Japmas Steel Sdn. Bhd. for expansion in Pipe Manufacturing & Coil Service Centre. Japmas Steel Sdn Bhd is one of the manufacturing arms of Lee Chuan Guan Holding Sdn Bhd. Marketing is handled by Lee Chuan Guan Hardware Sdn Bhd with distribution network in our country and all over the world. The company engaged into the steel coil services in 1990 and diversified into steel pipe manufacturing subsequently with various roll-formed production line since the past decade. In 2004, Japmas Steel received ISO 9001:2000 for the manufacture of steel pipes, hollow sections, roll-formed steel products, the processing of steel sheets and coils. We slit and shear the mother coil as required by our customers. On top of this, with the transfer of technology and technical know-how from Japanese expertise in Malaysia for more than 8 years, we also ventured into the manufacturing of ERW Pipe. Our major raw materials are purchased directly from steel mill and imported from Japan, Korea, Thailand, Taiwan, etc. The manufacturing processes are semi/fully automated to reduce the production time and manual human intervention. We employ a diverse range of modern and technologically-advanced machinery imported from Japan & Taiwan. The whole production is now being managed locally by Taiwanese expertise with years of experience. Over the years, we are now specializing in manufacturing pipes for Furniture, Scaffolding, Automobile, Conveyor, Civil Engineering and Structural pipes. Today, Japmas Steel has grown as the leading pipe manufacturer in Southern Peninsular Malaysia which equipped with the state-of-the-art machineries cater from the primary coil slitting stage throughout pipe production strengthen with ample storage space 30 acres located in strategy location that just 8km away from the major port. The great location of Japmas Steel is considered as an advantage to complement the company’s export business to both Pacific and Indian Oceam regions.
